2022 State Tests

In spring 2022, third- through eighth-graders in Colorado will take the CMAS tests, which are aligned to the Colorado Academic Standards. Colorado's ninth- and 10th-graders will take the PSAT and 11th-graders will take the SAT (11th-graders also take CMAS science). The state-level results for these tests are expected to be made available in August 2022. Individual student reports are typically available to districts in July after each administration. The testing window for MSD3J begins April 11, 2022.

The Human Resources Research Organization (HumRRO) is conducting an independent evaluation of Colorado’s K-12 Education Accountability System on behalf of the Colorado Office of the State Auditor (OSA). This evaluation is required by House Bill 21-1294 and it covers a number of different objectives that are specifically outlined in the bill.

As part of this evaluation, we are seeking feedback from educators and parents through online surveys and remote interviews and focus groups. We informed the Colorado Department of Education’s Education Data Advisory Committee (EDAC) about these data collection efforts in November and December 2021.

Participation is voluntary, and we appreciate your assistance with the following:

Parent and Family Survey.

We ask that the following links be distributed to parents and guardians through existing district and/or school communication channels to ensure that families are aware of opportunities to provide input.

The Parent and Family Survey, which is available in English and Spanish, seeks information from parents and guardians about how accessible and useful student and school accountability data are, and the extent to which families use these data to support the education of their children. The survey will take approximately 5 minutes to complete and will remain open through April 15. The survey is anonymous and individual responses will remain confidential. We have provided the following sample language that you can simply copy and paste into newsletters, emails, etc. to parents and families:

Estimados padres y familias:
